School Term Dates for 2026 

Term 1 Tues 3rd February - Thurs 2nd April / Term 2 Tues 21st April - Fri 3rd July

Term 3 Mon 20th July - Fri 25th September / Term 4 Mon 12th October - Tues 15th December

New Lynn School is a zoned school, which means we are only able to accept enrolments from families living within our school zone. We are currently accepting in-zone enrolments only.

How To Enrol

Before preparing your enrolment, please confirm that you live within our residential zone. You can check the light blue boundary map on our Enrolment Zone page or use the Education Counts website to verify which school zone your property falls under.

New Entrant Enrolments

We love welcoming new families to New Lynn School! If you have a child turning five soon, we encourage you to get in touch with us at least 10 weeks before their birthday to start the enrolment process.

If your child has any diverse learning or special needs, please reach out to us even earlier - ideally six months to a year before they start. This gives us plenty of time to work together and put the right support in place for a smooth, happy transition to school life.

School Visits for New Entrants

Starting school is an exciting step! To help your child settle in and feel confident, we recommend they attend one Friday morning transition visit to their new classroom before their first official day. This date will be arranged upon completion of your child's enrolment.

School Uniform

To help your child feel confident and ready on their visit day, they should be in full school uniform with their stationery good to go. 

Uniforms can be purchased from NZ Uniforms in New Lynn, and you can easily grab a copy of the stationery list from our office team!

All Other Enrolments

Once you have successfully enrolled your child or children at New Lynn School, we encourage you to report to the school office by 8.45am, where our friendly office staff will show you and your child to their new classroom. 

To help them feel right at home from day one, please ensure they are wearing their full school uniform and have their stationery ready to go.
