There is a professional staff of teachers at New Lynn School who have high expectations of your children and their learning.
Teachers are regularly engaged in ongoing school wide professional development. We have high quality educational programmes and high achievement occurring for all our students. This creates a strong learning community for both students teachers and parents.
At New Lynn we believe that education is a life long process which is a shared partnership between school and home. Parents are welcome at New Lynn School and are encouraged to participate in any way they can. We recognise the skills parents have to offer and the benefits they bring to a school community. We offer parents as many opportunities to learn about their children's learning as possible.
Our school motto is 'Whāia Te Iti Kahurangi: Reaching for the Sky' as we encourage everyone to strive to do their best. We take joy in promoting and celebrating their success.
We are a culturally diverse school with enormous strengths to share and learn from each other. We believe in highlighting the strengths of all our students and building a strong foundation of success for their learning.
